I love so much that Chuck P. is just incidentally deaf as part of his character (or at least it seems so far). I could count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a character just happen to be deaf or blind or whatever without iit having to be part of some statement. “He’s blind, but he sees more than the rest of us,” or “He can’t hear, but his ear’s to the ground and he’s connected.” That second one was the closest I could get for Chuck, but it really does seem like an honest depiction. People happen to be deaf in real life, without it having to mean anything. I love it. Thank you.
